save moneyEach home is constructed of Western Red Cedar, which is very rot resistant. It is ready to be stained, painted the color of your choice, varnished - or leave it to weather naturally. All of the Mason bee houses have a 1½ inch overhang to provide protection from rain, and a lower shelf for the bees to sit on and collect their wits when they first hatch out. They also like to sit and sunbathe!

Cocoons containing dormant Mason bees are shipped only from November thru March. We sell them in sets of 20 bees as not all will survive and it takes a full set to ensure that you get a good colony going.
